Martin Mensik started his journey through music when he was 2 years old playing his mini Bontempi organ Christmas present to the rapturous applause of his parents. This started his lifelong interest in music and under the careful guidance of his piano teacher Miss Herring his skills rapidly developed. He was inspired at school by his music teacher Miss Whiston who bravely allowed her class free reign of the musical instruments during lunchtime.

While still at school he discovered electronic/ experimental music. Martin had many musical ideas of his own running though his head. Through his formative years, he perfected his craft using various pieces of second hand equipment bought with his hard earned pocket money, the most revolutionary being his audio-visual patch bay.

Throughout his University years his keyboard playing was heard on the albums of the much missed Marmite Soldiers, Freak Out Ethel, Ordinary and Def Egg to name but a few.

Real life then interrupted and Martin had to get a ‘proper’ job and he got his hands dirty working as a Microbiologist in NHS hospital laboratories around the country, but he didn’t lose his love of composing and his wages were regularly used to buy the next piece of must have equipment for his impressive studio. After the invention of computers he progressed into digital music and when the technology eventually caught up with what he wanted it to do, he then proceeded to re-master all of his previous efforts into the unique compositions you can hear today. Martin is currently working on new material..
